What is coaching, and how is it different from psychotherapy?
Coaching is solution-focused and resource-oriented. It supports you in reaching goals, gaining clarity, and unfolding your potential. What it doesn’t do is treat psychological disorders or illnesses. That’s the role of psychotherapy, your doctor, or your psychiatrist.
Who is this coaching for?
Everyone is welcome, especially LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent individuals! Even better if you have topics you’d like to work through and are open to creative approaches.
What does a typical session look like?
That really depends on the person and the day. We might start with a quick check-in to see where you’re at, then work on your song. I’ll guide you with targeted questions to get to the core of your theme, and together we’ll explore how to express it through songwriting. We might end the session with a bit of handpan improvisation.
Do I need to be musical for this kind of coaching?
Not at all! All you need is openness and a willingness to explore your life themes. I’m happy to introduce you to basic songwriting skills — don’t worry, it’s simple! And if music isn’t your thing, we can absolutely work through your topics in conversation only.
Practical Info
How can I book a session?
You can use this contact form to briefly describe what you’re looking for. Then we’ll set up a free 40-minute intro session, either in my practice space or online via Zoom. There, we’ll talk about what you need right now and see if and how we want to start working together.
How much does a coaching session cost?
Individual sessions are CHF 150 / hour, regardless of the coaching format (see Services).
Are there discounts or packages for multiple sessions?
Yes! For details, see the Services page under “Rates.”
Can I cancel or reschedule a session?
Yes, up to 24 hours in advance. After that, you will be charged for the session.
Where do sessions take place (online/offline)?
Sessions usually take place in my practice space, since I work with musical instruments. Intro sessions can easily be done via Zoom. If you decide to work with me through conversation only (no music), online sessions are also possible.
Legal Info
Is my information kept confidential?
Absolutely. My notes are securely stored and password-protected.
Can I get reimbursed through my health insurance?
In Switzerland, coaching isn’t covered by basic insurance. However, I’m currently working on getting recognized by some supplementary insurance providers. Updates to follow!
Is there a minimum number of sessions I have to book?
Nope! There’s no commitment. Just send me a message to start the conversation.
For Organizers (Camps, Courses)
Is this coaching also available as a workshop or group session?
Yes, I offer workshops and short inputs for songwriting camps, music retreats, festivals, or music education programs. Content is tailored to suit the target audience.
What topics are suitable for group formats?
For example (not an exhaustive list):
Overcoming creative (writer’s) block
Stage presence and performance mindset
Authentic songwriting
Self care as a musician
Dealing with criticism and comparison
How much time is needed for these workshops or inputs?
Short input: 45 minutes or more
Half-day workshop: 2–3 hours
Full-day workshop or retreats: on request
In which languages are group services available?
Workshops are available in German, English, French, or Spanish – depending on the needs of the group.
How large can groups be?
This depends on the topic and setting. For sensitive subjects such as self-worth or emotional expression, a group size of up to 12–15 participants is recommended. For talks or keynote inputs, larger groups are also possible.
Do you also offer hybrid or online formats?
Yes, both fully online workshops and hybrid formats are available, e.g. for international camps or decentralized teams.
How does planning and organization work?
After an initial consultation, we define goal, framework, and content focus. Based on that, I create a custom concept, including a schedule and list of required materials.
For Musicians
How is musician-specific coaching different from other Resonanzraum Coaching services?
This coaching blends classic life coaching approaches with creative methods such as songwriting or improvisation. It is specifically designed to address challenges often faced by musicians, such as performance anxiety, creative blocks, or self-doubt.
I suffer from performance anxiety – is that something we can work on?
Absolutely. Managing performance anxiety and stage presence is an important focus of this coaching. Together, we’ll develop tools to help you feel more grounded and confident on stage.
Can I work on my own songs during coaching?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own lyrics or musical ideas. We’ll work with your personal themes and express them creatively.
What exactly is psychological songwriting?
Psychological songwriting is a creative path to self-awareness: writing lyrics helps make emotional themes visible and tangible. This is not music instruction in the traditional sense, but an emotional and expressive process.
Can I benefit from this coaching alongside my music studies?
Absolutely. Many music students face intense pressure to achieve. Coaching can help build resilience, clarify goals, and support your personal and artistic path with greater ease.
